If you use iMac then you know from now and then those thirsty for battery juice wireless keyboards and magic mouse need their juice and the iMac relays this message nicely by displaying it on the hud. I personally bought one of those 32 battery packs @ sams club, i hated making runs to local walmart middle of the night after loosing the ever going battle of trying to find battries from random drawers all over the house or stealing them from other gadgets.

The latest by Apple is nothing new we all have seen our fair share of Battery Charger uppers BUT …… this is no ordernary charger unlike other rechargers that continue to push constant power into the chargeing batteries this one has a brain, it actully reduces reduces its power intake once your batteries are fully charged.

whats in the box

It comes with six NiMH batteries — two for your keyboard, two for your mouse or trackpad, and two for charging. These high-performance batteries have up to a 10-year lifespan, they also hold a charge for an ‘incredibly long time’.

The Apple Battery Charger has the lowest “vampire draw” of any similar charger on the market. That’s the energy that most chargers continue to draw even after their batteries are done charging. Unlike other chargers, the Apple Battery Charger senses when a battery charge cycle is complete and automatically reduces the amount of power it uses to 30 milliwatts — more than 10 times better than the industry average.

The charger is available to purchase from Apple for $29.
