Planetbeing member of the iPhone Dev-Team, has posted a photo of his iPhone 5 running the jailbreak tweak/app IntelliScreenX. Planetbeing has revealed that critical pieces are still missing for the public release of the iOS 6 jailbreak. As of right now oly the iPhone 4, the iPhone 3GS and the iPod Touch 4G can be jailbrokenon the iOS 6.0 and only the iPhone 3GS on old bootrom is untethered.
Can’t say too much, but we’re still missing critical pieces so it’s not releasable right now. Believe me, we’d love to release it asap.
The only thing I can say about the date is that I promised @alexeheath to try not to have it be released on a Sunday.

Planetbeing also noted that it’s likely the team will only release a jailbreak if it’s untethered.
I meant if a JB comes out for the 4S, it’ll probably be at the same time as for the other devices, not earlier.
It’s unlikely we’ll see a tethered JB for later devices. They’ll likely be untethered or nothing unless we find a bootrom bug
