Apple will be dropping Google Maps from the iOS and will introduce  a new in-house Maps Application with a powerful 3D feature in the next iOS (iOS 6). This comes via 9to5mac sources.

Apple has been working on the Maps for some time now, Apple purchased c3  Technologies, Placebase & Poly9  Apple is going to combine all three and make something totally unique.
