Yahoo has added voice recognition to its One Search App for the iPhone. Yes yahoo is late nearly 6 months behind Google’s first voice recognition app. Yahoo’s App is just bit more complex than that of Google’s,it handles all sorts of things ,news,

social sites & a whole lot more. Yahoo’s Voice recognition is among a few iPhone apps that search by voice recognition,all we can say is the app works just fine with the usual misses here and there.  The app is very easy to use no matter what option you are under you can tap in search and then just command your iPhone once finished ordering your iPhone simply tap the Red Button and Yahoo will do the rest.

 The accuracy is 90% we will say as in different tests it passed. Even tough sometimes it did not pick up exactly what we said but it searched what we had intended. Results are shown locally if you allow it to locate your iPhone,which is exactly this app is designed for you can find a business really quick ! & the coffee shop if you want to grab a cup of your share of caffeine. Overall Yahoo’s Search has taken a new turn with this new Add on.! 

We did a few small tests  we will only cover two here just to give you an idea. 

 Test 1 - We said  ”Terminator Salvation”

 App understood – “Terminator salvation” and gave results about  the movie & furthur gave info on where it was playing close by to  our location. 

 Test 2 - We said  ” find a gas station”

 App understood – “The Gas Station ”  (but still gave us good useable results)
