Skype for iPhone has been confirmed to be released on Tuesday .

Its much-anticipated Net-based phone service to Apple’s mobile platform. With the Skype iPhone app, users will be able to make free calls using Wi-Fi to other Skype users as well as use their Skype accounts to make reduced price calls to traditional land line phones. Skype announced its iPhone application will be available on Tuesday for free. There will be a menu bar that gives the user the access to chat, VOIP calls (only via wifi connection), call history and the profile, where one can change the status, personal message &  avatar. In addition, the native contacts (iPhone Phonebook) will be integrated in Skype’s address book!
