PushFix is a small App available via Cydia. What it does is it attempts to fix Push Notifications that have not been working on the hactivated iPhones – The Phones that were not brought via an official iPhone carrier.
Whats going on?
According to Schadde and reported by Crunchgear, AIM on Jailbroken & Hactivated iPhones was sending messages to random recipients without the sender’s knowledge. Put in simple words those sweet kisses may not have landed where you wanted them to Land, ehhh small problem but then a bigger issue some stranger getting your kisses.
The iPhone Dev Team created this app, which attempts to fix the Push feature on Hactivated iPhones. Unfortunately, it employed the use of only one Unique Device ID (UDID) to fix every Hactivated iPhone, while the UDID is unique to each device so each device should have their own UDID. Since all the affected handsets had the same UDID, the Aim Ims were going to all the places.
We should Note: Dev Team did release the PushFix -but it was released as PushFix Beta not a full blown App,The app in cydia was created by iphoneil.net. While it doesn’t matter who created the App,the take away from this should be that if a tweak is in beta stage it is beta for a reason.
