Following on the heels of the big TomTom announcement earlier this week, Navigon has announced they too are building an iPhone app and expect it to be available in June… before TomTom gets their app out the door. It will be available for the 3G and 3Gs models, with pricing to be announced later.
The app will presumably be called “MobileNavigator from Navigon”, and be available before the end of the month. You will get many of the features Navigon has become known for such as Reality View Pro, Real Roadsign Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, Speed Assistant, and Day & Night Mode. Just like the TomTom app, MobileNavigator will work in both portrait and landscape views and can navigate to an address from the Contacts app on the iPhone.
In addition to the full turn-by-turn app, there will also be a version called MobileNavigator LITE (free!) which doesn’t provide route guidance but does snow maps and POIs
