Microsoft is looking at Apple & saying to themselves ! How do we do what they are doing. Microsoft wants to improve its operating system, according to the leaked purported Windows 8 documents that leaked to the Web this past weekend.
Included is a slide titled “How Apple does it: A virtuous cycle,” which stresses that people like Apple products because they just work. People buy an Apple computer with a low-friction user interface, immediately find value and satisfaction in that, and become loyal to the brand, the slide says.
“This is something people will pay for!” the April 20 slide states.
Technology journalists and bloggers have been examining the authenticity of the documents since they leaked to an Italian website Sunday, and have largely agreed the slides are genuine. The documents also outline the Windows 8 product cycle, hint at the integration of facial-recognition software, tell what computing trends are influencing the Windows team, boast that Windows 8 starts up quickly, and detail a Windows Store for apps.
