More details about iTunes 9 are trickling in as we’re approaching Apple’s rumored September 9 music event. Besides Blu-ray support and the iPhone App categorization, rumored social media features in iTunes 9 might include the ability to Show off  your iTunes playlists and songs on Facebook/Last.fm, a DVD importing capability, and the support for third-party devices.

If you believe the hype that has been making rounds across the blogosphere lately, you will have no problem digesting the latest pieces of information that shed more light on alleged social media integration features in iTunes 9. According to a follow-up post on Boy Genius Report, social media integration features will include the ability to post statuses advertising your iTunes activities on Facebook and Last.fm.

Some images released via BGR- show some very interesting things -Such as – Facebook showing your iTunes Playlists.! so lets take a look at them and see if they are really possible in reality.

Facebook

Facbook : Yes Possible !

You’ll also be able to share your iTunes playlists on Facebook. A shared playlist will allegedly appear on the user’s Facebook wall with an iTunes Store link that will probably launch iTunes app on the user’s system to show a shared playlist page. Show here are the aparent screenshots from the beta version of iTunes 9 that look pretty legitimate, although the publication admitted that their “authenticity cannot be confirmed.”

In addition to social media integration features, the app might support third-party devices, the first-ever for iTunes. If true, then iTunes 9 will play nicely with a range of music players and devices other than Apple’s.

iTunes 9 will pack in Blu-ray support (apparently slated for Macs, as well), in addition to a better way of organizing Your iPhone A pps as well. Apple is expected to update iTunes 9 at a September 9 special media event that will probably serve as the launchpad for new iPods!

Facebook and Last.fm integration: Yes Possible !

Facebook and Last.fm integration is practically a given, especially if you know that Apple’s photo management app iPhoto (part of the iLife suite) already features deep Facebook integration, allowing you to sync your iPhoto and Facebook albums, including a two-way automatic sync of nametags. The Facebook posting ability from iTunes 9 is a logical extension of Apple’s tight collaboration with the social networking giant. Most importantly, playlist posts on users’ Facebook wall linking to the iTunes Store will generate lots of free advertising that has the potential to benefit Apple’s music-related business in more tangible ways than one.

DVD ripping:  No – Nada – Zippo – Never happening

We do not knwo whats going on in the above screenshot but the posibility of Ripping DVD within iTunes is far from real. Not to mention how much trouble will Hollywood get into & declare all out war of Apple. This laim we do not believe to be true.

Third-party devices support: Nope!

This is another claim made – here that we do not see happening anytime soon. DO we need to bring up Apple va Palm war which started as a result of something similar.? If Apple shut  Pre’s iTunes syncing feature with iTunes 8.2.1 update, why would the company suddenly change its mind? This is another claim we do not believe to be true.
