According to a report published on wired.com,the Next Gen iPod Touch which is rumored to have an integrated camera and a microphone is already being manufactured in China’s factories.  Apple of-course declined to comment on this matter when wired reached Apple by phone.

wired’s source also depicts that the new iPhone Touches with cameras and microphones will go on sale in two to three months. The new iPod Touch if it is in the works will transform the entertainment-oriented iPod Touch line into a voice communications tool wherever WiFi is available. Apps like Fring & Skype already support voice-over-IP capabilities Apps such as these will help the new iPod Touch rise up the a new level?

In addition to these voice-over-IP capabilities, which should have telephone providers quaking in their boots, the microphone (and camera) would enable the iPod Touch to understand voice commands, capture video and images, and work with a wider variety of programs in the App Store.
