I did all this and it didn't work on the T-Mobile Network.
You must Deactivate 3G before you do – this Also You must reboot – as well.

The only thing I don't get is, does this mean you lose 3G when you are using a T-Mobile sim card????

Does anyone know if you can T-Mobile's 3G network with the unlocked iPhone. My impression was that they use different frequency 1700MHZ vs 1900MHZ? Anyone knows a way around it?
You wont be able to use T-Mobile's 3G as you say Tmobile is on diff freq – they did get a bad deal getting stuck on those mhz as they were the only ones available via bid.
