With tutorial will show you, how to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS | iPhone 4 with Limera1n.

Requirements & Compatibility
Compatible iDevicesiPhone 4 | iPhone 3GS
iDevice Must Be On Any of these - iOS 4.0 | 4.0.1 | 4.0.2 | 4.1


Estimated Finish Time 5 to 10 Minutes

Stop! 		You must not Upgrade to 4.1 if you depend on Software Unlock. You must wait for PwnageTool.
Your iDevice Must be on one of the above mentioned Firmware Version.


Step 1.

  • Make sure your iDevice is connected to your Mac.

Step 3.

  • Go to the location Limera1n was downloaded at.
  • Now Open the Limera1n by double clicking the Limera1n icon.

Step 4.

  • You should now have  “make it ra1n” window.
  • Click “make it ra1n” Button to begin the jailbreak process.


Step 5.

Limera1n will now put your device in recovery mode.

Note :  if you get stuck on this step – make sure you have itunes installed on the mac.


Step 6.

  • Limera1n will now instruct you to hold home + power buttons on your iPhone.
  • Hold Both “Home” & “Power” Buttons together until this message changes.

Let go of the Power Button

  • Once you see this screen
  • Release Only the Power button.
  • Keep holding the Home Button

  • Limera1n will now tell you that your iDevice is in DFU mode & begin to jailbreak your iDevice.

All Done

Step 7.

You should now have Limera1n icon on the springboard.

  • Tap on Cydia To select it & then Tap on Install button.

  • Cydia will be installed on your iPhone
  • Your Phone will respring (restart)

After a restart you will find Cydia icon on the iPhone Springboard.
