So by now you have heard all about the upcoming iOS 4.! & can’t wait to get your Hands on it – here is a solution for you to get the iOS right now without a Developer’s Account with Apple.

Step 1. Download & Install iTunes beta 9.2
iTunes 9.2 Beta, 69.62MB – MultiUpload (direct)
Step 2. Cannot stress how Important this is !
- Backup Your Device !
- Backup Your Device !
- Backup Your Device !
You Must Connect your Device to your Computer & Make sure you do a full Backup. Just in case your plans of world dominance do not go as planned.
To do a full backup all you have do is – Connect your iDevice to your computer and Sync it.
Step 3. Download the iOS 4 Gold Master - for your iDevice. [Like always use Firefox to download Firmware Files]
- iOS 4 GM seed – iPhone 3GS, 377.81MB - MultiUpload (direct)
- iOS 4 GM seed – iPhone 3G, 292.3MB - MultiUpload (direct)
- iOS 4 GM seed – iPod Touch 3G, 356.53MB – MultiUpload (direct)
- iOS 4 GM seed – iPod Touch 2G, 308.74MB – MultiUpload (direct)
Step 4.
After you have downloaded the Firmware file for iOS 4 – & got the iTunes beta 9.2 Installed.
You are ready to Install the Firmware on your iDevice (iPhone or iPod Touch)
- Connect your iDevice to the computer .
- Hold Shift Key ( Pc) | Option Key (Mac)
- Pop up will come up – Now Locate the Firmware File & Click Open (or double click it).
In the Pop Up Double Click or Open the .iPSW File you downloaded earlier .
Final Step
Restore Will Begin
Device Restored ↓
Done - You should now have in your Hands your iDevice with the sleep new os that is not even Out Yet !
iPhone Only : If you have Official Carrier your iPhone Will Now Be Activated.
After Activation.
Restore from Backup
- Once restore finishes Your will be given an option to Restore your device from Backup. (the latest one we did in the beginning)
- Or you can choose to Set up a new iPhone | iPod & Sync all your Stuff back up.

If you do not get a Pop Up – This Simply Means you may not have help option key (on Mac) or the shift Key (on Pc).
Guys This should work on Pc as well . The Process is same All you have to do is find the iTunes 9.2 beta for Pc (google it.)

So I've installed iTunes 9.2, but nothing happens when I hold in the Shift key. Is there a way around this? Instead of holding the Shift key, you just go somewhere in iTunes?
