Google introduced all new redesigned “Google Bar” yesterday (11/29/2011) which is finally going live today (11/30/2011) . The new design is simple & leans towards the minimalistic side of design, the top navigation bar has been dumped for a beautiful & clean drop down sidebar which brings slightly larger links to Google services such as Gmail, Maps, Images etc…
Everything looks good here, we are sure there are a lot of improvements that can be made but there is one we can think right away is the order of Google Services. Currently this design displays Google Services links in a fixed order. Improvements in this design need to be made, maybe giving the users a drag and drop feature to order the links, another idea to order the links is Google Services should be ordered automatically with most used links on top but only time will tell how this turns out in future.
