In This Tutorial We Will Show You How ToDisable Automatic Backups.
Mac users:
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Open a Terminal (Applications > Utilities > Terminal)
3. Type or copy the following command:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes AutomaticDeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true
4. Open iTunes.
5. Connect the iPhone.
6. You can now Sync without backing up.
To enable Automatic backup in iTunes again use the following command instead:
defaults write com.apple.iTunes AutomaticDeviceBackupsDisabled -bool false
PC Users:
Windows users can use the same approach:
1. Quit iTunes.
2. Press Win+R (opens the Windows Run dialog)
3. Type or copy the following command:
“%CommonProgramFiles%AppleMobile Device Supportbindefaults.exe†write com.apple.iTunes AutomaticDeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true
4. Open iTunes.
5. Connect the iPhone.
6. You can now Sync without backing up.
Note: You can always simply Click the Corss Icon in the iTunes Message window when iPhone|iPod is syncing – that also skips the Backup.
Important : If you do this – Please be warned – keep in mind to “Manually Backup Your Device” once in a while.
