Comcast has jumped the iPhone bandwagon. Comcast, the largest cable operator in the U.S. by subscribers, announced a free application for the iPhone & the iPod Touch. The App lets customers check their Comcast email and home voice mail as well as surf their TV schedules.

New Features to Come : The ability to program DVRs at home from mobile devices, the way that rivals like DirecTV, Verizon and AT&T do.

The App has gotten positive reviews so far the App is solid and very easy to navigate through. The interface is a no brainer for an iPhone|iPod Touch user everything easily accessible.

Comcast stated that easier in this week a slew of cable networks had signed on to trials that allows the  subscribers to watch shows online, so we may very well see ? streaming over the wifi in this App’s near future if this turns out to be a success.
