AT&T has just finished their latest network wide “upgrade” AT&T’s HSPA provides a peak speed of 7.2Mbps nationwide on their 3G cell sites. Both the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS support HSDPA and should be able to work at higher speeds. I’d run a quick test but my iPhone 3G reports “No service” at the moment. So, maybe later…
Unfortunately, TechCrunch reports that we (AT&T customers with HSPA compatible phones) won’t actually see any actual increased speed despite this upgrade…
