Apple has quietly introduced online music streaming via its MobileMe iDisk app. Functionality, implemented in an update of the July 6 last, was never noticed by anyone before. According to John Richardson of MP3.com, the new functionality lets people stream music to their Apple devices by using the online storage service that comes with iDisk, a service similar to Google Docs.
The App Works in the background, you may play MP3 or Apple AAC music through their iDisk account while using other apps. It is available through iPhone, iTouch and iPad devices.

Michael Robertson, MP3tunes CEO, says that this feature is offered without the consent of Universal Music Group. Every company, in fact, to play streaming music files, must request a special program enabling the broadcast and to offer this feature. The service from Apple, then, allows unlimited file sharing and now, thanks to Multitasking IOS 4 may be used for streaming in the background. All without a license from the record labels. We’ll see what happens!
